This Iberostar is just perfect for families. It is on the wonderful Playacar beach nestled between the Gala Resort and RIU Palace. The best feature of this hotel is it's pool. It just goes on forever, winding around the property. The largest pool has a waterfall. Besides the large pool there is one just for kids, one for adults and a pool that is filled with activities going on all day. This hotel offers lots of space by the pool with ample lounge chairs and place to sun or hide in the shade. The lobby is like many of the hotels in this area- open and beautiful. Large walkways take you around the property and are built over lagoons filled with fish, fauna, flora and fountains! There are six restaurants here, three of which require reservations and have a dress code. The variety of food in the buffets is good and everything is beautifully displayed and maintained by the attentive staff. There is an abundance of outdoor activities for everyone and a good children's program. Because of its beach and large pool area, this property lends itself well to families, although I did see a good number of couples who were not traveling with children. If you want peace and quiet, I would suggest another property. Also very full, it did not seem overly crowded, but it is a busy hotel.
